Hello world
- meta
Every few years I decide I should have a website, register a domain, and then do nothing with it. This time the domain came first and the excuses ran out.
What goes here
Three things, roughly:
- Writing. Longer pieces, mostly about work and the things I keep re-learning. Posts live as MDX files in a folder, which means writing one is the same motion as writing anything else.
- Photographs. A small, edited set. Not an archive.
- A private corner. Somewhere to keep track of what I said I would do.
How it is built
Next.js, deployed on Vercel, with posts as files in the repository rather than rows in a CMS. The tradeoff is deliberate: no dashboard to log into, no service to outlive, and the whole site is greppable.
The best personal sites read like someone's notebook, not someone's résumé.
More soon.
